Agreement to Help Develop “The Plaza” Complex in Yiti
Muscat, 30 September 2026 (ONA) — OMRAN
Group and SEE Holding today jointly signed a financing agreement worth RO 38.5
million with the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) to
support the development of “The Plaza” complex project at The
Sustainable City – Yiti, Governorate of
Muscat.
The signing of the joint venture affirms
international confidence in investment opportunities within the Sultanate of
Oman. The pact will accelerate the implementation of one of the governorate’s
most prominent urban development projects.
“The Plaza” project features a
diverse range of retail, dining, leisure, entertainment and community
facilities. It is designed to be a vibrant destination that enhances the
quality of life for residents and visitors, while at the same time supporting
the city’s commercial viability and sustainable lifestyle in the long run.
The agreement reflects the commitment of “Sustainable Development & Investment Company (SDIC)” and its
shareholders and the company’s keenness to foster urban development, attract responsible
investment and deliver long-term economic and social value, thereby
contributing to the realization of the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
