Amman, July 7 (Petra) – Firefighters extinguished a fire on Tuesday
that broke out in an industrial complex in Aqaba, injuring 1 person,
the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said.
The blaze engulfed two warehouses for storing fabric and electrical
cables, each covering about 500 square meters,
In its statement, the PSD said Civil Defense crews contained the
blaze to prevent it from spreading to nearby facilities. Police also
secured the area and restricted access, while firefighters carried
out containment operations.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation and transported to Prince
Hashem bin Abdullah Military Hospital in moderate condition following
on-scene first aid.
Authorities launched an investigation to determine the cause of the
fire.
