Munich, Feb. 15 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, Friday Safadi reiterated Jordan’s “firm” position in rejecting displacement of Palestinians, adding that the world can successfully rebuild Gaza without uprooting its people.
Safadi made the remarks during a dialogue session with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Policy Kaja Kallas, moderated by media figure Christiane Amanpour, on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference.
During the session, Safadi noted the Palestinians now live on their land and want to remain on it, indicating that the peace that guarantees all’s rights would end occupation and fulfill the Palestinian people’s establishment of an independent, sovereign state on their national soil to live in security and peace alongside Israel on the basis of the two-state solution.
Additionally, Safadi discussed with President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation, Maxime Prévot, ways to enhance bilateral relations and joint coordination regarding the region’s developments.
