Gaza, January 22 (Petra) — Fifty-three bodies were recovered from under the rubble in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Wednesday.
In its daily statistical report on casualties resulting from the Israeli war, the ministry reported that many victims remain trapped under the rubble or along roadsides, as ambulance and civil defence crews are unable to reach them due to the large-scale destruction.
The ministry confirmed that the overall death toll from the Israeli assault has risen to 47,161, with 111,166 wounded since October 7, 2023.
