Washington, June 17 (QNA) – Google has officially launched the final version of Android 17, along with Wear OS 7 for smartwatches, with a strong reliance on artificial intelligence in the user experience across phones and wearable devices.

The update is rolling out first to Google’s Pixel phones and includes the Pixel Drop package, which adds several new features, most notably support for AI models like Lyria 3 and Gemini Omni, as well as tools for real-time voice translation.

Among the most notable additions is the availability of Quick Share, now compatible with AirDrop on some Pixel phones, enabling easier file sharing between the two systems. Other enhancements include the ability to edit videos within conversations using Gemini Omni and create music using Lyria 3 via text commands or images.

The updates also included new features such as recording a personalized voice message for callers when calls go unanswered, expanding the “Leave a Message” feature to additional markets, as well as security improvements and features for detecting accidents and emergencies in the Pixel Watch, including traffic accidents, falls, and cardiac arrest.

Android 17 added a new interface called the “Bubble Bar” to organize recently used apps, along with features aimed at content creators that allow simultaneous screen and front camera recording, as well as a new gaming mode for foldable phones based on a 50/50 split screen with a dynamic control panel.
