Amman, July 23 (Petra) – Higher Education Council (HEC) approved the
appointment of Dr. Ali Mahmoud Ali Abu Ghneimeh as President of Petra
University for a four-year term, effective September 1, 2026.
In its session held Thursday, chaired by the Minister of Higher
Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafzeh, the decision
was taken, based on the recommendation of the university’s Board of
Trustees.
The Council also approved appointment of Dr. Muhammad Abdul Hamid
Qudah as President of the Kingdom University of Health Sciences (KU)
for a four-year term, effective immediately.
The move was based on the recommendation of the university’s Board of
Trustees.
