Amman, May 31 (Petra) — The Jordan Chamber of Industry has launched
a comprehensive interactive industrial data platform through its
mobile application and official website as part of efforts to advance
digital transformation and strengthen Jordan’s economic and
industrial information ecosystem.
According to a chamber statement issued on Sunday, the platform is
designed to provide manufacturers, investors and policymakers with
accurate, up-to-date data that supports planning and decision-making
through a sophisticated knowledge base.
The chamber said the platform is among the most comprehensive and
specialized industrial databases at the national level, consolidating
economic and industrial data and indicators that were previously
dispersed across multiple sources into a single interactive platform.
The system enables users to access, analyze and utilize information
more efficiently for investment, trade and industrial
decision-making.
The platform offers an integrated database for Jordan’s industrial
sector, including time-series data and detailed indicators
distributed across the kingdom’s ten industrial sectors. It covers
foreign trade statistics, gross domestic product data, the industrial
sector’s contribution to the national economy, industrial survey
results, employment figures, credit facilities and a broad range of
related economic and industrial indicators.
It also provides advanced interactive tools for data analysis and
comparison across countries, markets and sectors, allowing users to
monitor foreign trade trends between Jordan and global markets,
analyze market developments and identify export and investment
opportunities with greater precision and effectiveness.
The chamber said the platform represents a significant step forward
in strengthening the industrial sector’s information infrastructure,
highlighting its comprehensive data coverage, ease of use and rapid
access to information through a simplified interactive interface.
Data has been organized according to Jordan’s ten industrial sectors,
enabling manufacturers, investors and researchers to access
sector-specific indicators and conduct more accurate and effective
analyses and comparisons.
The chamber noted that the platform has been aligned with
internationally recognized classifications and standards,
particularly the International Standard Industrial Classification
(ISIC) and the Harmonized System (HS) Code. This alignment enhances
data accuracy and comparability at both regional and international
levels and supports the preparation of economic studies and policies
on a more professional basis.
The chamber said the platform serves as a comprehensive information
resource for manufacturers, investors, researchers and government
institutions. It is accessible to all users through the Jordan
Chamber of Industry’s mobile application and website, improving
access to economic and industrial data while enhancing the efficiency
of economic analysis and decision-making.
The launch forms part of the chamber’s broader vision to build an
advanced industrial data ecosystem that strengthens the
competitiveness of Jordanian industry, supports data-driven economic
policymaking, and provides a reliable national reference for
industrial and economic information.
The chamber added that the platform will undergo continuous updates
and enhancements, including the addition of new indicators, further
development of interactive visualization and analytical tools, and
integration with additional economic and industrial databases,
reinforcing its role as a national platform supporting industrial
development and economic decision-making in Jordan.
