Iraqi Authorities Reaffirm State Monopoly on Weapons, Warn Against Unauthorized Drone Launches

Baghdad, August 10 (QNA) – The Iraqi authorities said Monday that the state should have a monopoly on all weapons, stressing that they would deem any drones launched from the country without official approval acts of terrorism.

In a press conference, the Ministry of Interior underlined that the use of such weapons is prohibited outside the legal framework.

It highlighted that 49 drones had recently been seized, emphasizing that it would enforce the full extent of the law in accordance with the provisions of the Counter-Terrorism Act against any drone launch without authorization. (QNA)
