Beirut, February 16 (Petra) — A Lebanese woman was killed, and several others were wounded when the Israeli army opened fire on Lebanese civilians who had entered the town of Houla in southern Lebanon.
A Lebanese security source informed Petra’s correspondent in Beirut that “the Israeli army also kidnapped three Lebanese individuals from within the town.”
The source added that the Israeli military had planted explosives at a site in the Sadana forest, located in the town of Kfar Shouba, in preparation for a detonation.
The Lebanese Army Command issued a statement urging citizens to avoid travelling to southern areas where military deployment has not been completed.
The army emphasised the importance of adhering to the instructions of the deployed military units to ensure public safety and prevent harm to innocent civilians.
