Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) – Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah met with Australian Ambassador to Jordan Bernard Lynch on Monday to discuss bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance and expand ties, particularly in the education sector.
Mahafzah highlighted various development plans and programs implemented by the ministry to improve the educational process. He praised the strong partnership between the two countries and expressed hope for continued collaboration and coordination.
He also pointed to the strong ties in higher education, noting that many Australian students are enrolled in Jordanian universities, while numerous Jordanian students pursue studies in Australian universities, particularly in medical and health-related fields.
For his part, Ambassador Lynch emphasized the deep-rooted partnership between the two nations, built on a long history of constructive cooperation. He reaffirmed Australia’s readiness to support Jordan’s educational development initiatives.
Lynch also acknowledged Jordan’s critical role in the region, particularly in hosting refugees from neighboring countries and providing educational services for their children.
