Amman, Feb. 10 (Petra) — Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yarub Qudah, held discussions with his counterparts from Qatar, Bahrain, Morocco, and Turkey to enhance economic cooperation and capitalize on available opportunities across various sectors.

According to a ministry statement on Monday, the talks took place on the sidelines of the fifth meeting of the Higher Committee for the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development, held in Doha.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral economic ties and encouraging private-sector investment in key industries.

The committee’s meetings resulted in the signing of several agreements and the announcement of strategic projects valued at over $2 billion. These projects aim to boost industrial collaboration among member states, covering sectors such as metal, pharmaceutical, and plastic industries, as well as the development of health-focused food products, biotechnology innovations, and advanced electrical and technological industries.

Qudah emphasized that Jordan, under the directives of King Abdullah II, is working in partnership with the private sector to enhance its industrial capabilities.

He noted that Jordanian industries are being equipped to play a greater role in regional partnerships by adopting advanced production techniques, optimizing resource efficiency, improving product quality to meet international standards, and expanding their reach into global markets.
