Amman, July 26 (Petra) — The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in
Jordan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, organized the
“Ya Hala, Meet Korea!” festival at the Haya Cultural Center in Amman
recently, bringing together 117 Korean companies and 37 Jordanian
companies in the largest comprehensive economic and cultural festival
held in the Levant.

The two-day event attracted about 20,000 visitors and featured
exhibitions of electronic appliances, vehicles, medical equipment,
beauty products, food and other consumer goods, allowing Korean
companies to engage directly with Jordanian consumers while exploring
business opportunities in the Jordanian market.

Jointly organized with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency
(KOTRA), the festival offered Jordanians the opportunity to
experience Korean culture, advanced technologies and creative
industries in one place.

The festival’s main cultural event, held on Saturday evening,
featured performances combining traditional Korean music, including
Samulnori and fan dances, K-pop performances by Korean artist Kisu,
and performances by Jordanian traditional dance troupes.

Pil-woo Kim, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Jordan said:
“Korea and Jordan share a profound history of mutual understanding,
and the generosity, hospitality, and rich cultural heritage of Jordan
deeply resonate with Korean people.”

He added, “This event is not just about cultural exchange but also a
vibrant showcase of economic and industrial innovation, offering a
glimpse into Korea’s dynamic present and future, ranging from
K-Technology and K-Mobility to K-Energy, K-Food and K-Beauty.”

Minister of Culture Mustafa Rawashdeh said the festival introduced
Jordanians to Korean culture, civilization, heritage and folklore
while providing a platform for dialogue and mutual understanding that
strengthens relations, particularly in the cultural field.

The festival’s success reflected Jordan’s security and stability
despite recent regional tensions. On the occasion of the festival,
the Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to further enhancing bilateral
cooperation and exchanges with Jordan, particularly as next year
marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two
countries.
