Amman, July 19 (Petra) — The King Abdullah II Fund for Development
launched the “Steps for Practical Training” project to provide recent
graduates with hands-on training opportunities and enhance their
readiness to enter the labor market.

The initiative, implemented as part of the fund’s efforts to invest
in and empower Jordanian youth, offers practical training placements
within the fund’s development companies, allowing participants to
gain professional experience and develop technical and workplace
skills.

The project targets Jordanian graduates holding bachelor’s degrees or
academic diplomas who meet specific eligibility requirements,
including being between 21 and 28 years old, having graduated within
the past three years, being unemployed at the time of application,
completing the application process, submitting required documents and
passing a personal interview.

The project aligns with the objectives of the Economic Modernization
Vision, which prioritizes youth empowerment, human capital
development and bridging the gap between education outcomes and labor
market requirements to enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian
talent.

Director General of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development Samer
Mufleh said the project reflects the fund’s commitment to investing
in youth by providing high-quality training opportunities that
develop practical skills and improve graduates’ employment prospects.

He added that the initiative is in line with the priorities of
economic modernization and His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision of
empowering young people and building qualified human capital capable
of contributing to the Kingdom’s development process.

Mufleh said the project also strengthens integration between the
fund’s programs and investments by enhancing participants’
capabilities and providing them with practical knowledge and
experience that support its development objectives.

The “Steps for Practical Training” project enables recent graduates
to train in real work environments, apply academic knowledge,
understand labor market needs and build experience that improves
their prospects of securing quality employment.

The King Abdullah II Fund for Development continues to implement
development programs focused on economic empowerment, sustainable
development, modern technology, artificial intelligence and the
digital economy, as it prepares its future strategy and strengthens
its role in supporting economic, political and administrative
modernization efforts in Jordan.
