Kuwait, July 13 (QNA) – The State of Kuwait on Monday condemned in the strongest terms the aggression by Iran and Iran-backed factions and militias in Iraq following attacks targeting several border posts and an offshore drilling platform operated by Kuwait Oil Company, resulting in casualties and material damage.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the continued attacks constitute a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, pose a serious threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents, defy international legitimacy and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026, and irresponsibly undermine regional and international efforts to achieve security and stability in the region.
The ministry also stressed Kuwait’s inherent right to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to safeguard its sovereignty and preserve its security and stability, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter. (QNA)
