Tripoli, July 01 (QNA) – Libyan Presidential Council Deputy Abdullah Al Lafi and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya Hanna Tetteh discussed today the latest political and security developments in Libya, including the Council’s recent resolutions.
According to the UN mission, the talks also addressed the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to advance the roadmap it is facilitating, including the mini-dialogue meetings, as well as ways to unify the military and security institutions.
Al Lafi expressed his support for the UN-led political process and the outcomes of the structured dialogue, while emphasizing the importance of addressing the core issues necessary to achieve peace and stability and create the conditions for inclusive elections. (QNA)
