The Governor of Darfur Region and leader of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Minni Arko Minawi, confirmed the destruction and defeat of eight military groups affiliated with the Dagalo militia over the past two days. In a post published on his Facebook page on Monday, Minawi said the developments resulted from coordinated manoeuvres and precise strikes carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), the Joint Forces, and Popular Resistance, alongside the liberation of five areas and the restoration of control over the strategic export route linking North Kordofan State with the capital, Khartoum. “This is only the beginning of the militia’s collapse. Every inch regained brings the Sudanese people closer to restoring their security, stability, and the authority of their state,” Minawi said. He affirmed that victory is achieved through determination and sacrifice, stressing that “our forces are moving steadily towards clearing the entire territory of the homeland from the rebellion.”BH/BH
