Morocco, Cameron Express Joint Desire to Boost Cooperation in Transport Sector

In a statement to MAP, at the end of these talks, held on the sidelines of the 2nd Kofi Annan Road Safety Award, Abdejalil expressed the shared desire of the two countries to strengthen cooperation in all transport-related fields.

In this context , he indicated that the African continent aspires to promote inter-African exchanges and to fight the scourge of traffic accidents, stressing that these talks are an opportunity to share successful experiences in the field of road safety.

Abdeljalil also emphasized the joint determination of the two countries to conclude a second agreement aimed at further strengthening cooperation in this field.

In a similar statement, Massena Ngalle Bibehe, said that his country is also committed to strengthening cooperation with Morocco in the transport sector, noting that these talks represent the continuation of those already begun between the two countries last july, and which concerned the drafting of a framework contract to define areas of cooperation in this fields of land, sea and air transport, as well as road safety.

“This event represents an opportunity for African countries to share experiences and best pratices in this field, in the service of preserving the lives of Africans”, he added, highlighting his country’s desire to continue strengthening cooperation with the Kingdom of Morocco in this filed, in the interests of their peoples.

The talks took place on the sidelines of the 2nd Kofi Annan Road Safety Award, which Morocco is hosting after winnig the first edition, in recognition of the Kingdom’s efforts and African leadership in Road safety.

Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, held talks, on Monday in Marrakech, with his Cameroonian counterpart, Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe, on ways of strengthening and promoting cooperation between the two countries in the transport sector.
