National TV Organizes Open Day in Support of El Obeid’s Resilience

El Obeid, June 27, 2026 (SUNA) — Sudan Television organized an open day on Saturday from the city of El Obeid in North Kordofan State, as part of efforts to express solidarity with the city and its residents and to highlight its security and service conditions in the face of the systematic propaganda campaigns aimed at undermining its safety and stability amid the ongoing “Battle of Dignity.” Director of the Television Sector, Walid Mustafa, said the open day—implemented under the supervision of the Director General of the National Radio and Television Corporation, Ibrahim Al-Bazai—featured a range of special programs and coverage highlighting the city’s service, cultural, and social aspects, in addition to providing direct reporting on daily life and the stability of the situation. Mustafa noted that television crews conducted field interviews with residents, who expressed their commitment to resilience and their full support for the armed forces and supporting forces. The channel also broadcast interviews and discussions reflecting the city’s security situation. He added that the open day included a news segment broadcast from the studios of North Kordofan State Television in El Obeid, along with reports and field programs addressing development and service-related issues, reflecting the continuation of normal life activities in the city across various sectors. The Director of the Television Sector praised the efforts of Sudan Television’s correspondent network in North Kordofan and across the country, commending their national role in conveying facts, countering rumors, and strengthening the national media message with professionalism and high standards.BH/BH
