OCCI & Joran’s JEDCO Meet in Muscat, Discuss Digital Transition for Tourism Enterprises

Muscat, 22 September 2026 (ONA) — Represented
by its Committee for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and its committee
tasked with digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI), the Oman Chamber
of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today received a delegation from Jordan Enterprise
Development Corporation (JEDCO).

The meeting was chaired by Sheikh
Ahmed bin Amer Al Maslahi, Head of the OCCI’s SMEs Committee, and Imad Al Bdoor,
Head of JEDCO’s Department of Arab and International Organizations.

Held at the OCCI’s premises in
Muscat, the session was attended by business owners from both countries.

Discussions at the meeting focused
on fostering digital transition in tourism sectors in member states of the Organization
of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)—with special emphasis on SMEs operating in the
tourism industry, encouraging the application of digital solutions and facilitating the exchange of successful experiences and best
practices in the field.

The meeting also highlighted the OCCI’s
experience in empowering SMEs and showcased the Chamber’s programmes and
services related to digital transition, market access, partnerships and
business development.
