Jeddah, April 7 (QNA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the storming of the Al Aqsa Mosque compound by an Israeli minister under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, and the continued closure of the mosque and prevention of worshippers from entering.
The OIC considered this an extension of Israel’s repeated violations, as the occupying power, of the sanctity of holy sites and freedom of worship, and a flagrant violation of the Geneva Conventions and international law.
In a statement on Tuesday, the OIC held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the repercussions of the continuation of such daily Israeli attacks on the city of Jerusalem, its people, and its holy sites.
The OIC called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these Israeli violations, which will only fuel extremism and instability in the region. (QNA)
