Oil Prices Fall Amid Expectations of
Russian Diesel Supplies
Singapore, 13 Oct 2026 (ONA) — Oil
prices declined today after surging by about two dollars per barrel in the
previous session, as traders assessed supply risks in the Middle East and the
prospect of increased diesel supplies from Russia.
Brent crude futures retreated 61
cents, or 0.57 percent, to $106.04 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate
crude futures fell 47 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $93.27 per barrel.
US President Donald Trump said that
Russia has agreed to supply diesel to global markets, and that his
administration has temporarily lifted US sanctions on Russian fuel. The
additional supplies could help ease the shortage of supply in global fuel
markets, thereby curbing some of the supply concerns that have recently
supported crude prices.
