Oman Participates in GCC-Russia 8th Ministerial
Meeting
Sochi, 11 Sep
(ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman today took part in the 8th ministerial meeting
between GCC states foreign ministers and Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the
Russian Federation. The meeting was held in Sochi, Russia.
The
Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was led by Khalid bin
Hashel Al Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative
and Financial Affairs.
During the
meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to consolidate relations between GCC states and discussed
the joint action plan of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Russian
Federation. They also exchanged views about a number of regional and
international issues.
The meeting
was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the GCC Department
at the Foreign Ministry, Hamoud Salim Al Tuwaih, Ambassador of the Sultanate of
Oman to the Russian Federation, and a number of Foreign Ministry officials.
