Participates in International Book, Publishing Fair in Rabat
Rabat,
22 Apr (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the 30th
International Book and Publishing Fair held in Rabat. The event will run until 27
April 2025.
The
participation aims to augment Oman’s presence in international book fairs,
promote Omani intellectual output, and introduce it to a wider audience.
This
year, Oman’s pavilion features a collection of recent publications from the
Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism,
as well as works by various government units and civil society organizations.
Since
its opening, the Omani pavilion has attracted significant attention from
visitors and notable media coverage from various outlets.
The
pavilion offers a carefully curated selection of publications spanning history,
literature, linguistics, medicine, culture, jurisprudence, media, heritage, and
tourism, catering to readers of all ages and intellectual interests.
This
participation reinforces cultural cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and
the Kingdom of Morocco, highlights Omani literary and intellectual works, and
promotes cultural and professional exchange in authorship, publishing, and book
production. It also introduces Omani writers and publishers to their
counterparts across the Arab world.
Notably,
the fair has become a leading international platform and a distinguished
cultural event, annually bringing together key figures in the publishing
industry in North Africa. It offers promising opportunities for new
partnerships and insights into the latest trends and developments in global
publishing, solidifying its position as a major hub on the world cultural
stage—a space for tolerance, intercultural dialogue and intellectual diversity.
