Pakistan, Lebanon Discuss Expanding Military Cooperation

Islamabad, June 09 (QNA) – Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir, met on Tuesday with Lebanese Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, Gen. Rodolphe Haykal, who is visiting Islamabad, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral military relations, issues of mutual interest and the regional security environment.

During the meeting, the two sides underscored the need to expand cooperation in training and enhance institutional ties between the armed forces of the two countries.

Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan stressed the importance Pakistan attaches to its relations with Lebanon and reaffirmed the Pakistani military’s commitment to broadening defense cooperation with its Lebanese counterpart. (QNA)
