Palestinian Martyred from Injuries Sustained in Israeli Bombardment of Gaza CityGaza, 3 Aug 2026 (ONA) — A Palestinian was martyred today from injuries sustained in an Israeli bombardment that targeted central Gaza City Sunday. Israeli occupation forces shelled areas east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, while occupation military vehicles opened fire northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Israeli artillery also carried out intensive shelling southeast of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip and east of Gaza City. Nineteen Palestinians, including children and women, were martyred and dozens of others were injured, while three homes and residential apartments were destroyed in more than 10 Israeli airstrikes targeting the Gaza Strip from dawn until yesterday evening. The Israeli occupation forces have recently intensified their airstrikes, shelling, and gunfire across several locations in the Gaza Strip, targeting residential apartments, buildings, civilian vehicles and camps for displaced persons, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Palestinians, including children, women and entire families. The death toll from the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,356 martyrs, while the number of injured has reached 174,185.— Ends/AH
