Amman, Jan. 21 (Petra) – Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places called on citizens to perform istisqa prayer for rain, a Muslim tradition practised since the time of Prophet Mohammad, next Friday in all the Kingdom’s regions.
In a press statement Tuesday, Minister, Dr. Mohammad Khalayleh, instructed heads of Jordan’s Awqaf directorates, imams and preachers in a circular to carry out the ritual after Friday prayers.
