Amman, Jan. 30 (Petra) -On the occasion of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s 63rd birthday, Public Security Directorate (PSD), in cooperation with Ministry of Health and Jordanian Royal Medical Services, implemented a national blood donation campaign, which witnessed a “large” turnout from police personnel.
In a statement Thursday, the PSD said the event included all its formations and units in the Kingdom’s various governorates, who expressed pride in engaging in the nationwide drive to reflect their humanitarian and social role aimed to serve citizens and meet their needs.
The PSD pays “remarkable” attention to these blood drives, as part of its efforts to enhance the culture of social solidarity, which contributes to saving lives and meeting emergency medical needs, the statement pointed out.
