Amman, Feb 10 (Petra) — The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson has provided details regarding a widely circulated video showing security officers stopping a vehicle and apprehending its occupants on a public road.
The spokesperson confirmed that a patrol unit, while performing their official duties in southern Amman, identified a wanted vehicle and its occupants.
The driver was given multiple warnings to stop but refused to comply with the patrol’s instructions and attempted to flee.
According to the spokesperson, officers pursued the vehicle, which was forced to stop after a short distance due to traffic congestion.
When ordered to exit the vehicle, the driver continued to resist compliance, compelling security officers to forcibly open the vehicle and remove all occupants.
The suspects were escorted to the security center where investigations are currently underway.
