Doha, July 09 (QNA) – The State of Qatar welcomed the United States’ announcement that it has begun the process of removing the Syrian Arab Republic from its list of state sponsors of terrorism.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move marks a positive step toward supporting stability in Syria and the wider region, while advancing a political settlement in line with relevant international resolutions and the aspirations of the Syrian people.
The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty, and independence of the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as its continued solidarity with the Syrian people in their pursuit of security, stability, and prosperity. (QNA)
