Moscow, Aug 11 (Petra) — Russia’s Foreign Ministry warned on Tuesday
against the consequences of Israeli settlement expansion and
escalating violence in the West Bank, emphasizing that the
continuation of such practices threatens regional stability and
deepens tensions in the Middle East.
In a statement, the ministry said Moscow supported convening a United
Nations Security Council session to address developments in the West
Bank.
The ministry held Israel responsible for ongoing settlement expansion
and stressed the necessity of halting escalation, adhering to
international law, and respecting relevant U.N. resolutions.
