Amman, Dec. 12 (Petra) — Social Development Minister Wafa Bani Mustafa and World Food Program (WFP) Regional Chief Corinne Fleischer on Monday discussed ways and means of boosting cooperation between them.
During the meeting, Bani Mustafa underscored cooperation with the WFP under an agreement signed with the ministry as well as common aspirations for medium and long-term joint work, expressing gratitude for WFP’s support of the National Aid Fund.
The ministry is currently holding consultative sessions with the WFP to update its risk management strategy, she said, stressing the need to work with the program on upgrading the ministry’s productivity enhancement program and technical staff’s capabilities.
For her part, Fleischer commended the partnership with the ministry, noting that the WFP strategy is compatible with the Jordanian government’s vision in social security fields.
