
The two officials discussed various aspects of bilateral military cooperation, including training and exchanges of visits. They welcomed the strong ties of cooperation between Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces and the Central African Armed Forces, according to a statement from the FAR General Staff.
On this occasion, the Chief of Staff of the Central African Armed Forces expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King for the support given to the Central African Armed Forces, and praised the action of the Moroccan contingent as part of the stabilization mission, and its decisive role within MINUSCA.
On the same day, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of National Defense Administration Abdeltif Loudyi received, at the headquarters of the Administration, General Zéphirin Mamadou, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Central African Republic.
During their discussions, the two officials expressed their satisfaction with the momentum of relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Central African Republic, and examined the prospects for covering other areas of common interest.
Since 2014, Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces have been participating in peacekeeping in the Central African Republic, within MINUSCA, through a contingent of 750 military personnel, the statement concludes.
