
Russian Air Defense Destroys 89 Ukrainian Drones over Several RegionsMoscow, 9 Mar (ONA) — The Russian Defense Ministry announced that
its air defense forces destroyed 89 Ukrainian drones over the
territories of several regions.
The ministry said in a statement that 52 drones were destroyed over
the territory of Belgorod region, 13 drones over the territory of
Lipetsk region, nine drones over the territory of Rostov region,
eight drones over the territory of Belgorod region, three drones over
the territory of Voronezh Belgorod region, three drones over the
territory of Astrakhan region, and one drone over the territory of
Krasnodar region.
Since the conflict began in February 2022, Russia and Ukraine have
regularly claimed to have shot down each other’s drones. However,
verifying these claims has proven challenging due to the ongoing war,
which restricts access to the frontline areas and complicates the
