Speaking during a press conference dedicated to presenting GITEX Africa, which will take place from April 14 to 16 in Marrakech, Melyani noted that “84% of exhibitors expressed their intention to establish or expand their presence in Morocco and Africa thanks to the networking and connections made during the event, demonstrating the exhibition’s capacity to create concrete benefits for local ecosystems.”
The measurable outcomes of previous editions of GITEX Africa Morocco reflect the event’s concrete impact on Moroccan and African digital ecosystems and highlight the enthusiasm it has generated since its inception, he emphasized.
“More than just an exhibition, GITEX Africa Morocco has become a true continental crossroads—a strategic platform for Africa, powered by Morocco,” he added.
After two editions, this event has established itself as an unmissable gathering, distinguishing itself on the global tech scene. It has quickly secured a place on the international calendar of major tech trade fairs, attracting startups, investors, researchers, institutions, and governments worldwide, all united in a shared drive for transformation, Melyani said.
“For this third edition, over 1,500 exhibitors, 800 startups, 350 investors, 400 international speakers, and representatives from more than 130 countries will converge in Marrakech,” he stressed.
The event will feature certification training, emerging tech topics, and serve as a platform for discussions, debates, and South-South cooperation, fostering inclusive innovation, he said, noting that “Morocco’s participation in this edition is set to be both ambitious and strategic.”
