NNA – Head of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists, Dr. Joe Salloum, on Tuesday visited Minister of Interior Major General Ahmad Al-Hajjar, accompanied by Vice President Dr. Abdel Rahman Marqabawi, Dr. Ziad Al-Hajj Shahada, and Dr. Bassam Hanini.
Dr. Salloum stressed that quot;the safety of pharmacists, patients, and citizens must be a top priority, beyond all compromise.quot;
Salloum thanked the Minister for the quot;notable arrest of the armed assailant who targeted four pharmacies and seriously injured a pharmacist.quot; He also called for increased police patrols around pharmacies, greater municipal and station-level protection, and stricter crackdowns on smuggled drugs and illegal pharmaceutical outlets.
