Port Sudan, Jan. 22, 2026 (SUNA) – The Wali of Red Sea State, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Noor, met today with the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Fatih Yıldız, to follow up on official visits and enhance bilateral economic relations.The discussion reviewed outcomes from the Wali’s recent visit to Mersin, including agreements on a twinning arrangement between Sudanese and Turkish ports, and explored practical steps to boost trade exchange.Ambassador Yıldız praised Red Sea State’s strategic role in Sudan-Turkey economic relations and commended the Wali’s support for investment partnerships. He announced a post-Ramadan visit by a delegation of Turkish businessmen to explore investment opportunities and sign new memoranda of understanding.The Wali pledged to facilitate Turkish investments by removing administrative obstacles at state and federal levels. Plans were also discussed to organize a Sudanese-Turkish business forum focusing on trade, real estate, and infrastructure development.FA/BH
