Khartoum, Jan. 24, 2026 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Salma Abdel-Jabbar Al-Mubarak reviewed the service situation in Khartoum State as part of her ongoing monitoring of state institutions’ performance and her commitment to enhancing services provided to citizens.During a meeting on Friday with the Wali of Khartoum State, Ahmed Othman Hamza, at the State Government’s General Secretariat, Dr. Salma called for intensified official and community efforts to support vulnerable groups through projects targeting social programmes. She emphasized the need for urgent and sustainable solutions that respond to citizens’ needs and help alleviate living pressures.The TSC Member commended the state government’s efforts to restore basic services, improve the work environment, and stabilize the local community.Dr. Salma highlighted the importance of expanding programmes supporting women, describing them as a genuine partner in community building and a cornerstone of sustainable development. She urged the adoption of policies and projects that empower women economically and socially, while enhancing their participation across various spheres of public life.The Wali of Khartoum State reviewed the progress of service project implementation and outlined the challenges facing the state. He praised the substantial support provided by the Supreme Committee for Preparing the General Environment for the Return of Citizens, noting its role in restoring numerous service facilities.
