Madani, January 25, 2026 (SUNA) – Director-General of Al-Gezira State Ministry of Health, Dr. Osama Abdulrahman Ahmed Al-Faki, praised UNICEF for its support in enhancing health services during a meeting with a UNICEF delegation on Sunday.The delegation, led by Director of the Sudan Health and Resilience Emergency Response (SHARE) Project, Dr. Tana Mendria, highlighted Al-Gurashi locality as a model for strengthening the health system and confirmed support for ongoing primary healthcare programs at its centres.UNICEF Health and Nutrition Officer, Dr. Ihsan Saeed, said the visit aimed to supervise SHARE project activities, review achievements, and plan the next phase, providing moral support despite local challenges. Dr. Mendria added that capacity-building continues for staff at 25 health centres under the project, with further coordination with partner organizations.AS/BH
