Sennar, Jan. 27, 2026 (SUNA) – A rare birth case occurred today at the Maternity and Obstetrics Hospital in Sennar, where a woman, wife of a Sudanese Armed Forces soldier from the 17th Infantry Division in the Jabal Moya area, delivered quadruplets via a successful caesarean section.The operation was performed by Dr. Ayman Mustafa as part of a medical team led by Dr. Mohamed Siddiq, obstetrics and gynaecology specialist, under careful medical supervision until both the mother and newborns were stabilized.Executive Director of Sennar locality, Faisal Abdelrahman, attended the birth to express the locality’s support for the family, including assistance with nursery and medical care.Al-Tayib Ahmed Al-Toum, in charge of the hospital’s nurseries, confirmed that the quadruplets were placed in a facility capable of accommodating 14 children and equipped to handle such special cases, noting the readiness of medical staff.The family praised the hospital’s medical team, lauding their humanitarian efforts and professionalism, and thanked the administration and all who contributed to the successful operation.AS/BH
