National Investment Authority Secretary-General: “Made in Nile River” Forum Boosts Economy and Industry

Khartoum, Jan. 30, 2026 (SUNA) – National Investment Authority Secretary-General Ahlam Madani Sabeel affirmed that the “Made in Nile River State” forum embodied all aspects of successful investment in the current phase, highlighting the state’s industrial and investment resources.Speaking to SUNA after attending the forum’s closing sessions, she said the event contributed to transforming the state into a developed industrial hub and strengthening the national economy. She expressed hope that the forum’s recommendations would benefit both the economy and the people of the state, describing it as a key platform for promoting regional resources.She noted that the National Investment Authority has addressed the effects of the war by opening centres in Al-Gadarif, Red Sea State, and Atbara, and is preparing to resume operations in Khartoum while maintaining state offices to facilitate investor services.Ahlam Sabeel highlighted rapid growth in industrial sectors, including food, pharmaceuticals, building materials, engineering, and chemicals, which has increased employment opportunities for the national workforce.She affirmed the government’s commitment to removing impediments imposed by the war and announced that the Authority will soon launch the “Single Window” digital platform, enabling fully electronic transactions linked to relevant entities, streamlining procedures, and reducing time and effort for investors.AS/BH
