Port Sudan, Feb. 3, 2026 (SUNA) — Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Malik Agar expressed appreciation and support for youth-led efforts to rebuild Sudan, praising their ideas and promising initiatives in the field of reconstruction.Addressing the Hope Festival for Development and Reconstruction on Monday at Al-Amal Hall in Port Sudan—held under the patronage of the Higher Council for Environment and Tourism in Red Sea State—Agar called for openness toward Sudan, efforts to preserve national unity, the bringing hearts closer, the strengthening of national ideas, and the consolidation of loyalty to the state as foundations for the country’s progress. He noted that the festival’s concept began with a small group of young people and evolved into a platform that has brought together business leaders, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to contribute to Sudan’s reconstruction in the coming period, describing the initiative as a mature idea with broad future prospects.Agar stressed that developing people is the cornerstone of rebuilding the nation and achieving progress, underscoring the importance of collective action and teamwork. He urged Sudanese citizens to unite and cooperate to rebuild the country through their own capabilities, pointing out that the next phase will witness substantial reconstruction efforts. He also called on business leaders to contribute to building their homeland, noting that Sudanese have helped develop many countries and that the time has come to build Sudan with Sudanese capital and hands to drive growth and entrench national ownership of development efforts. The Vice President further called on law-enforcement bodies to activate and enforce the law in order to safeguard reconstruction efforts and ensure their sustainability.BH/BH
