Prime Minister Congratulates Armed Forces and Allied Forces on Breaking Kadugli Siege

Khartoum, Feb. 3, 2026 — Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris, along with members of the Hope Government, extended sincere congratulations to President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the TSC Members, the Sudanese people at large, and—particularly—the citizens of South Kordofan State, on the occasion of the major victories achieved at dawn today by the Armed Forces and their allied forces in lifting the siege on Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan.The Prime Minister said that breaking the siege of Kadugli constitutes a strategic and historic victory, and a launching point for liberating all areas defiled by the rebel militias in Kordofan and Darfur.Professor Kamil Idris affirmed that the Hope Government stands, with all its capabilities, behind the Armed Forces and their allied forces to continue these victories and to cleanse the country of rebel militias.He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, stating that their sacrifice represents a source of victory and blessing for the Sudanese nation and the country, and expressed his wishes for the speedy recovery of the wounded and injured.BH/BH
