Khartoum, Feb. 10, 2026 (SUNA) — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Professor Ahmed Modawi Musa affirmed his patronage and support for the comprehensive social da’wah forum and the Ramadan (1447 AH) outreach convoy programme planned by the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences.This came during his meeting on Tuesday at the ministry’s headquarters in the Minerals Towers with the Higher Committee for the Ramadan Programme and the Social Da’wah Forum, headed by Deputy University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Salah-Eddin Al-Hadi Hussein, and attended by a number of the university’s scholars and professors, including Professor Abdullah Abdel Hai Abu Bakr, Professor Osman Al-Amin Al-Gailani, Dr. Abdel Mahmoud Yousuf, Dr. Othman Ibrahim Noreen, Professor Khalafallah Al-Imam, and Professor Abdel Moneim Salih Ramadan.Deputy University Vice-Chancellor and Committee Chairman Dr. Salah-Eddin Al-Hadi reviewed ongoing preparations for the launch of the Ramadan da’wah convoys, to be implemented in coordination with the Federal Zakat Chamber and Khartoum State authorities. He also outlined details of the comprehensive Social Da’wah Forum, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, with broad participation from imams, preachers, scholars, and various community sectors across Khartoum State.Minister Professor Ahmed Modawi Musa praised the university’s religious and community outreach activities, citing the quality and smooth delivery of its programmes targeting all segments of society across Sudan’s states. He also commended the university’s notable success in linking scientific research with social and da’wah realities.The comprehensive Social Da’wah Forum is intended to reaffirm the university’s role in community service and its engagement with public issues amid the current national circumstances. Its objectives include reinforcing support for the state in confronting external aggression, raising community awareness of hostile schemes targeting Sudan, clarifying the responsibilities of imams, preachers, and scholars during and after the war, contributing solutions to address the psychological and social impacts on war-affected populations, helping preserve social cohesion, and issuing recommendations to serve as a practical guide for da’wah work in the next phase.BH/BH
