Brussels, February 19 (QNA) – European stock markets closed lower on Thursday, weighed down by corporate earnings updates from several major companies.
The pan-European STOXX Europe 600 fell 4.05 points, or 0.6%, to finish at 624.64.
In Paris, the CAC 40 slipped 30.25 points, or 0.36%, to close at 8,398. Germany’s DAX dropped 260.23 points, or 1.03%, ending the session at 25,017.
Meanwhile in London, the FTSE 100 declined 59.14 points, or 0.55%, to settle at 10,627. Investors reacted to the latest round of company results, with sentiment remaining cautious across major European markets. (QNA)
