Baghdad, February 20 (QNA) – The Iraqi Seismic Monitoring Authority announced that an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck the province of Diyala in the eastern part of the country on Friday.
In a press statement, the authority noted that the tremor was recorded northeast of the Al Muqdadiya district, near Lake Hamrin in Diyala province, approximately 65 kilometers from the eastern border.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage resulting from the quake. (QNA)
