Doha, February 21 (QNA) – Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno and Al Sadd Coach Roberto Mancini spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 16 match, slated for Sunday.
Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno praised his players’ efforts during the week, emphasizing that preparations had gone exceptionally well and that they were ready to perform at their best against the league leaders.
Moreno acknowledged the difficulty of the task against the top team, but stressed that self-confidence and ambition were crucial for achieving a positive result. He added that recent victories had raised the team’s aspirations, but emphasized the need for complete focus on the upcoming match without dwelling on past successes. He explained that bringing joy to the fans would be an added incentive for the players.
For his part, Al Sadd coach Mancini described the upcoming match against Al Wakrah as tough and challenging, especially since it will be played away from home, but affirmed his players’ readiness for the challenge.
