QSE Index Opens Lower

Doha, February 25 (QNA) – The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 12.99 points, or 0.12%, at the start of Wednesday’s trading, down to the level of 11,276 points compared to the previous session’s closing.

The market was weighed down by declines across three sectors: Banks and Financial Services (-0.07%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.16%), and Telecoms (-0.87%).

Meanwhile, the performance was positive for Real Estate (+0.31%), Industrials (+0.06%), Insurance (+0.02%), and Transportation (+0.01%).

By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 42.671 million, with 20.675 million shares traded in 2,295 transactions. (QNA)
