Information Ministry Launches Comprehensive Plan to Improve Work Environment at the General Broadcasting Corporation in Omdurman

Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities, and Tourism Khalid Al-Eisir held an important meeting Thursday at the ministry headquarters in Khartoum with the Committee for Reforming the General Environment at the General Broadcasting Corporation, chaired by Undersecretary Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir, within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to advance the institutional structure of the media sector and develop its working environment. The meeting reviewed arrangements for preparing an integrated executive plan to improve both the internal and external environment of the General Broadcasting Corporation, including the development of internal courtyards, gardens, buildings, and facades, aiming to reflect a modern image for the national media institution and provide a more efficient and attractive working environment.During the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of accelerating rehabilitation and improvement works to support the mission of national media and enhance its professional and informative role during this stage.The specialized committee for general environment reform works in parallel with the Higher Committee overseeing technical, engineering, programmatic, and news aspects, chaired by the minister, and including the Undersecretary of Information, the Director-General of the General Broadcasting Corporation, directors of radio and television, and several directors of specialized and general departments.This initiative aligns with the ministry’s vision to develop official media institutions and modernize their infrastructure and environment to support high-quality media production and elevate institutional performance.BH/BH
