Amman, May 20 (Petra) – Local figures in Khan Younis and Rafah in the
southern Gaza Strip visited the Jordanian Field Hospital on Tuesday
to welcome new staff and thank them for their efforts to provide
medical and humanitarian care to the people of Gaza.
Welcomed by the hospital’s commander, director, and staff members,
the local leaders expressed appreciation for and pride in the
longstanding and unwavering support of Jordan, under the leadership
of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince
Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, for the steadfastness of the Palestinian
people under all circumstances.
They hailed the Kingdom’s exceptional efforts, noting that Jordan was
the first to break the blockade by launching land and air bridges to
transport relief and medical aid, under royal directives.
“That was a real lifeline for the people of Gaza”, they said,
commending medical, nursing, and technical staff of the field
hospital for their professionalism to alleviate the suffering of the
wounded and sick.
The Gaza/10 field hospital’s commander pledged that staff will
provide the highest level of medical aid to their brothers and
sisters in Gaza.
