Irbid, May 21 (Petra) – Irbid Chamber of Commerce (ICC) announced the
launch of a new humanitarian initiative as part of the “Relief for
Gaza” campaign, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordan
Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).
The initiative aims to provide Iftar meals for families in the Gaza
Strip during the Day of Arafah.
In a statement issued Thursday, the chamber said the step aligns with
Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support the Gaza Strip’s people and
alleviate their humanitarian suffering.
The statement indicated that the campaign aims to provide complete
family Iftar meals including rice, meat or chicken, water, and dates.
The chamber noted the cost of a single family meal was set at JD10 ,
sufficient for 3-5 people.
To ensure success, the ICC invited the business sector and members of
the local community to contribute to supporting the campaign and
strengthening the values of solidarity and mutual support.
It stated donations can be made by contacting members of the ICC’s
Board of Directors or through its administration at the following
